All Saints Belmont was my first parish website. As a member of the parish I feel a strong connection to what the site is about and I understood a lot of we are about. Belmont Anglican is a re-write of the old DNN site into WordPress with some fresh content, and some new ways of doing thing.
We have a new logo, a new priest and now a new website.
Personally I felt that one of the reasons to move was that some of the things we might want to do become easier and/or cheaper with WordPress. Much of the original design perspective and colour has been retained as it has worked well.
In one sense it seemed odd to take done something that was working well, however on balance I think the need to future proof the site a little, and make it responsive to mobile devices made it a worthy project. We also changed the URL to better reflect what we thought people would be looking for.
