All Saints Belmont was my first parish website. As a member of the parish I felt a strong connection to what the site was about and I understood a lot of what it was about. The priest gave me a relatively free hand, though he was a self-confessed ‘neat freak’.
We used Dot Net Nuke at the time because it gave us more of what we needed, (I still love DNN however WordPress can now deliver the things we want). The site has continued to grown and develop. We have recently been experimenting with an on-line Bible Study and that is an interesting venture, and certainly something that the technology supports. I am a bit surprised there is not more of this around.
One of the women in the Parish told me they liked our site because it was ‘very Anglican’. I am not sure how, yet I kind of get it and I certainly enjoyed the comment.
